Ron Keel, the vocalist of the 80's 90's and even current rock bank “Keel” has been doing his thing for a long time now. I recently sat down with him and got his thought on his long and successful rock and roll career.
I first saw the band when they toured with, Canadian rockers (Helix) and German metal/thrasher's (Accept) back in 1985. Keel's hit song back then was “The Right to Rock” a song that Ron admits changed his life. Keel had two of their records produced by the legendary Gene Simmons of KISS. As you will hear in the Podcast, Ron tells 8CN that working with Gene was an honor.
Ron is very busy these days. Not only is he still touring with his band Keel, he's also hosting his own radio show called “The Streets of Rock and Roll.” He also performs a Las Vegas show called “Cowboy Band” which tributes the great country stars Brooks and Dunne. This list of projects that Ron keel is involved with is impressive to say the least.
The band is scheduled to jam on the next "Monster's of Rock Cruise" with Kix, Helix, Saxon, and many more!
