Manny Pacquiao TKO'd Miguel Cotto in the 12th round with a legendary performance that surely puts him into the all time greatest fighters list. The first round was close, 8CN gave it to Cotto. The third round wasn't so good for Cotto as he was dropped by a perfect right hand. The 4th round wasn't any better for Cotto as Pacquiao's speed once again proved way too much. Cotto found the floor once again via a Pacquiao left hook.
The next few rounds were all Pacquiao as well. His speed and power started to take complete control of the fight. By the 8th round Cotto tried to change up his style and box Pacquiao instead of brawling with him. That strategy didn't work either, it just turned out that Pacquiao chased and Cotto ran. In the 11th round Pacquiao poured it on and almost finished Cotto. The referee started paying very close attention to Cotto. Both of Cotto's eyes were swollen and he was bleeding from his forehead. The 12th round would be the end. Referee Kenny Bayless jumped in after Pacquiao landed a vicious right hand that snapped Cotto's head back. The end of the fight came at 55 seconds of the 12th round. With the victory, Pacquiao claimed the WBO Welterweight world championship.

Alfonso Gomez vs Jesus Soto Karass
Former contender star and world title challenger, Alfonzo Gomez earned a unanimous decision over Jesus Soto Karass. The fight was ugly at times with Karass receiving two separate point deductions for low blow's, one in round two and another in round three. To make the night even more difficult for Gomez, he received a nasty cut over his right eye via head butt in round three. The fight was ultimately stopped by the doctor due to the cut in round six. The fight went more than 4 rounds, so it went to the judges who ruled in favor of Gomez, 58/54 57/55 and 57/55
Even with the cut Gomez looked very sharp, landing the more effective punches. Ringside commentator Emanuel Steward praised Gomez numerous times for his effort, and effectiveness in the ring.
Daniel Santos vs Yuri Foreman WBA Jr Middleweight World Championship fight.
Yuri Foreman captured the WBA Jr Middleweight world title with a rather boring yet effective performance over Daniel Santos. In round two Santos actually hurt Foreman, bur ironically it would be Santos that would taste the canvass. Foreman caught Santos off of the break but it was scored an official knockdown. Foreman hurt Santos again in the 4th round, but ran out of time in the round and was unable to finish him. Foreman would send Santos down again late in the 12th round with a short left hand. Santos looked like a fighter that had been off for over a year and a half. He chased Foreman around the ring for 12 rounds looking for a one punch knockout. It never came, and Foreman captured his title as a result.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr vs Troy Rowland
In a fight that many would rather watch paint dry, Julio Cesar Chavez won a unanimous decision over Troy Rowland. Chavez is vastly overrated and didn't look very impressive at all. Yes he would go on to get the win over yet another unheard of opponent, but he did so with a chorus of boos in the background from fans that are growing tired of seeing the guy fight unheard of opponents.
